Marin Child Care Council

Founded in 1979, the Council is a non-profit agency that offers a variety of services for parents, child care providers and the community that are essential to the delivery of quality child care in the county.

In the last year the Council provided:

  • Child care information and referrals to over 5800 families, including families with special needs children and bi-lingual families

  • Orientation, technical assistance, and support for over 780 licensed and potential child care providers

  • Participation in a variety of county associations and networks involved with child care issues

How is the Council funded?

We receive State Department of Education funds as well as contributions from businesses and individuals.

 We contribute to the quality of life in our community by providing leadership and support towards creating a comprehensive system of childcare.  Our fundamental goal is to enable people to make informed decisions about childcare.  Our work is characterized by competency, respect, integrity and compassion
