Customer-directed services and peer-to-peer support are essential components of mental health and addictions treatment and recovery. The Association of Oregon Community Mental Health Programs (AOCMHP) is committed to ensuring that the customer voice is respected and heard in all aspects of the work we do. This page is dedicated to recognize, encourage and inform our programs' customers. Please share your thoughts and ideas for this page with our web coordinator, Jessica van Diepen at jvandiepen@aocweb.org or call 503-399-7201.
How to Get Involved
There are a number of ways for consumer/survivors to make an impact on state-level policy and planning. Here are a couple of ways to get started:
Consumer/Survivor Council to the Director of the Department of Human Services
This body was officially established in Oregon Revised Statute in 2007. It meets the second Wednesday of every even-numbered month at the Human Services Building in Salem. Official voting members are appointed by the director, but all are welcome to attend and contribute their voice. Next meeting: Wednesday, December 9, 1:00-4:00 p.m., 500 Summer Street NE, Salem.
Making a Difference: Spotlight on Ann Kasper
