you regulate providers?
No. MC3 is the Referral agency for licensed child care in Marin
County. Licensed child care homes and centers are licensed by the State of
California ,Community Care Licensing Division in San Bruno.

Who do I call if I have a complaint or wish to know complaint history on a
licensed child care center or child care home?
Call the appropriate licensing agency, Community Care Licensing at
650-266-8843. you will be given information on any substantiated or
inconclusive complaints.
3. Is
there a charge for the referral service (by phone, web, email, mail or
fax)?
No. The State Department of Education's Child Development Division Funds
Marin Child Care Council. This service is available for people looking for
care in Marin County.
4. Do
I need a license to care for children in my home?
If you are watching the children from more than 1 family, you
will need to become a licensed provider. To find out the licensing
requirements, please call the council at 415.479.2273
5. I
need help paying for my child care. Do you have funding available?
Marin Child Care Council funds families that are income/need eligible AND
if funding is available. When funding does become available, the eligibility
list is reviewed and those families that have the appropriate
"ranking" are contacted. For available funding, please call our
Subsidy Hotline at 415.472.1092, extension 3006. |
