Paratransit in the City of Oakland |
Service: The City of Oakland provides limited taxi scrip/van vouchers and subsidies for eligible users to travel in Oakland, Piedmont and northern Alameda County. The City also provides a shuttle service in West/North Oakland and East Oakland. Group trips are available with advance notice.
Hours: Taxi scrip may be used seven days a week (24 hours a day). Van vouchers may be used seven days a week (call for van availability). The Oakland Shuttle runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday in West/North Oakland and Mondays in East Oakland.
Eligibility: Program is open to residents of Oakland and Piedmont who cannot access public transportation and are at least 18 years of age and have a mobility disability.
Application required: Complete the Non-ADA Paratransit Services Application and mail it to the address above.
