Medical Baseline Allowance

No income guidelines required. This program is for people who depend on life support equipment or have special environmental conditions . SDG&E offers medical baseline allowances that provide additional regulated utility charges at the baseline rate, which can help keep energy costs down. A Doctor signature is required to participate in the Medical Baseline Program. Customers enrolled in this program will receive advance notification of rotating power outages (rolling blackouts) that could affect their area. Notification will be by phone call. Acceptance into this program DOES NOT provide an exemption from rotating power outages. SDG&E would like to stress the importance of having alternate arrangements in the event of a gas or electric outage.

Temperature Sensitive Application

This application is for a person who has health conditions that places them at risk from temperature extremes to receive advance notification of rotating power outages (rolling blackouts) that could affect their area. This notification will be by phone call. A doctor signature is Not Required for this program. Acceptance into this program DOES NOT provide an exemption from rotating power outages.
