Terrace Gardens Group HomeTerrace Gardens Group Home is located in Perryville, MO. There is room for 15 residents and 1 respite client. Each resident shares a bedroom with 1 other person. During the weekdays the clients work at the Perry County Sheltered Workshop, attend the My Camp Day Program or work at a job in the community. In the evenings and on weekends residents can participate in various activities, which include going for a walk at the Seminary, making crafts, playing games, swimming, going out to eat and going to local baseball and volleyball games. Residents who work at the workshop can also participate in community integration activities with the workshop staff a couple evenings a week. These activities include bowling, going out to eat, shopping and many more.
Staff assist residents daily with bathing, hygiene and getting dressed. Each resident has several goals chosen by the resident, their family, case manager and staff. Staff work with residents daily in order to become more independent. Staff also prepare three meals and three snacks daily for residents. All medication and other medical needs, such as appointments, labwork, vitals, etc., are handled by staff for the residents.
Terrace Gardens encourages family involvement in all aspects of the resident’s lives. Families are always welcome, and residents can go with their families for visits at any time.
Terrace Gardens ISL
Terrace Garden’s ISL (Individualized Supported Living) is currently 1 apartment with 2 residents in Ste. Genevieve, MO. Terrace Gardens is willing to open up more ISL’s in Ste. Genevieve or Perry County. During the day, ISL residents can work at Ste. Genevieve Industries, attend the Ste. Genevieve Day Program, or work at a job in the community. In the evenings and through the night there is 1 staff with the residents. ISL residents go on many activities in the evenings and on weekends with staff, such as shopping, walking around the neighborhood and going out to eat.

ISL residents receive the same care as group home residents, however resident to staff ratio is smaller. At Terrace Gardens ISL there is currently a 2:1 resident to staff ratio compared to the 8:1 resident to staff ratio at the group home.
