We can help you arrange transportation to medical appointments, nutrition sites and other important locations. The AAA contracts for transportation services throughout the nine county area to provide transportation to and from the grocery store, doctors appointments, social services agencies, nutrition centers, and other important locations.
Information Referral & Assistance

Our staff can provide you with information on the available services in our area and can assist you in obtaining these services. Staff will coordinate with other agencies, whether Federal, State, or local, and can refer you to the appropriate agency that will meet your needs.
Health Screening

When we say, "how y'all doin?", we mean it. We can refer you to source for check-ups on dental health, blood pressure, diabetes, sight and hearing, and help you get advice on using prescription drugs.

Volunteer Opportunities

You're never too old to help others. We can tell you about opportunities to serve in the Retire and Senior Volunteer Programs, and other programs.
Nursing Home Ombudsmen

Specially-trained and certified volunteer advocates visit nursing homes to help residents, family and staff help ensure the highest quality of life. Trained staff and volunteers that advocate for the rights of nursing home residents and ensure that they are being cared for properly. Volunteers are required to complete a 36 hour course on federal and state requirements to identify, investigate and help resolve resident complaints. Each of the nursing homes in the Middle Rio Grande Region currently have a volunteer Ombudsman assigned. Here is a list of nursing homes in the region:
