My name is Serena and my husband Charles Swenson and I are registered homecare providers. We are working to create this dream of our "Selah House" to make a difference in this dented old existence of a world for people who have forgotton how to hope and rest. I am a woman of passion and tenacity wanting to break the cycle of abuse and poverty.I am also a provider for my elderly mother in my home as well as a provider for a mentally retarted disabled man and soon to add foster children. In addition I am a certified elementary school teacher, substitute, artist, weaver, spinner, dog walker, gardener, and dancer. My favorite partner in this dance is Charles who works and plays at Goodwill Industries as a skills trainer, cares for the male in our home, enjoys wood working and is going back to school to finally complete the last year of his Bacholars degree in psychology. Thats us and this is a start. We have never had a website before but have decided to start the Selah House dream to gather opinions and just chatter about resources.
