At the Network, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve our members and mental health community in these times of change and opportunity. Whoever you are and wherever you are on your wellness journey, you are welcome here. The Network is about inclusion. I am passionate about examining our statewide community of change agents, advocates, educators, creative thinkers, artists, allies, trainers and healers.Recognizing wholeness and celebrating the power of spirit are directions that bring great joy in this work, even in the most challenging of times. I invite you to join with Network members throughout the state as we look inside ourselves and recognize that we are the change! Respecting all of our individual and cultural differences, we focus together on the most important goals. When we stand together with unity of purpose, we have the power to change by focusing on what we want… we no longer have to rely on the sole strategy of resistance. With this focused intention, we can build on the efforts of those who walked before us. |
The 28 years of Network presence in California have provided the solid foundation for our current opportunities: expanding our cultural representation, employment support networking, training for and by consumers, developing our use of technology for communication, community organizing promoting peer support and peer-run programs, and collaboration with allies. Braced on the collective wisdom of our lived experience, we know what works for health and healing; trauma-competent and that affirm our self-determination and wholeness. We are making room to heal and fully claim our rights and roles as community members and leaders, welcoming new ideas and next generation leadership. The pioneers of our movement worked hard to earn a place for us at the tables. New that the place is set, we must work inclusively and strategically to keep focused on our movement priorities. Let’s continue to dialogue and keep each other energized, well-informed and hope-filled. With unity of purpose, we are well positioned now to make real change. Join us as we work together to unleash the unlimited potential of our creative power! |
