About Us:
Cameron Group Care is a private residential facility that provides quality residential support and services. We strive to promote personal growth of the consumers within our facility at 625 Harris Lane in rural Cameron, Missouri. We are a small community based ICF-MR facility with the capacity for eight (8) consumers. Caneron Group Care, Inc. is owned by Dr. Marilou Joyner. Dr. Joyner has been involved in community placement services for over 35 years and has owned Cameron Group Care, Inc for 20 years.
Cameron Group Care strives to help consumers develop skills and abilities that enable them to enjoy increased levels of personal choice and independence. Consumers are involved in community activities and are typically involved in sheltered employment or day habilitation activities.
Consumers currently occupy semi-private bedrooms, however, additional bedrooms are under construction, which will provide private bedrooms for the majority our consumers. We provide transportation for to Day Habilitation, Sheltered employment, Medical Appointments, and various community activities.
Comprehensive services are provided by our agency. The services include, but are not limited to:
Comprehensive Evaluation,
Developmental Training,
Psychological Counseling,
Speech Therapy,
Occupational Services,
Room and board,
and a Consulting RN
We are fully licensed by the Department of Mental Health (DMH). Although oversight for ICF-MR facilities is provided through the department of Health and Senior Services, licensure is awarded through DMH.
Fees are based on cost reimbursement of allowable expense under Title XIX Medicaid programs. Rates for persons not eligible for Medicaid shall be the same as for eligible consumers.
