Union City Paratransit
Union City Paratransit offers curb-to-curb service throughout Union City for individuals who, because of a disability or health-related condition, are unable to ride regular fixed route transit buses. Union City Paratransit is a service of the City of Union City that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Service is provided in accessible, lift-equipped vehicles.

In addition to traditional local paratransit service, the Paratransit Plus program provides service beyond the local service area to parts of Hayward, Newark and Fremont. It also provides group trips for senior and disabled groups, and temporary medical trips (non-emergency) for those awaiting ADA Eligibility.

Eligibility:
To use Union City Paratransit, riders must first complete an application to certify eligibility. Union City residents who are eligible for service with Union City Paratransit will also be eligible for service with East Bay Paratransit Consortium and other ADA paratransit services. The Paratransit Plus program is available not only to ADA-certified users, but also to seniors and persons awaiting ADA certification.

Application Process:
Obtain and submit Regional ADA Paratransit application from Union City Transit. To request an application or more information, call 510-675-5373. Applications are also available for download or to e-mail on the Application Links page.
