Paratransit in the City of Oakland |
Service: The City of Oakland provides limited taxi scrip/van vouchers and subsidies for eligible users to travel in Oakland, Piedmont and northern Alameda County.
Hours: Taxi scrip may be used seven days a week (24 hours a day). Van vouchers may be used seven days a week (call for van availability).
Eligibility: Program is open to residents of Oakland and Piedmont who cannot access public transportation and are at least 18 years of age and have a mobility disability. Residents 18-69 must be registered with East Bay Paratransit (EBP). Individuals that are 70 and older are encouraged to utilize both services if they qualify for EBP.
Application required: Complete the City-Based Paratransit Services Application and mail it to the address above along with a copy of DMV issued identification card or driver's license.
