After Hours Support Line - PILOT PROGRAM
We are going to institute a PILOT PROGRAM of an After Hours Support Line at Sunrays of Hope.

(Posted: April 13 , 2015)

Purpose of a PILOT PROGRAM: We need to start figuring out the logistics regarding documentation and implementation of policies and procedures to provide the proper support line services.

Sunrays of Hope, pilot program is Monday thru Friday using the existing phone line (530-708-0459) with coverage from 6:30PM until 8PM, and only in English.

What is an After Hours Support Line you ask? Well, it is not a Crisis Line, Hot Line, or even a Warm Line. We will forward and refer any calls that require 911 or the existing Crisis Line. An After Hours Support Line provides the same support Sunrays provides on the premises for its Guests and Members, but on the phone, so it is focused to serve at first the current participants of Sunrays of Hope and their relatives.

Who is a participant of Sunrays of Hope? For this purpose we will define it as a person that has used the facilities or services of Sunrays of Hope as a Guest or Volunteer.
Sunrays provides information and support, and a After Hours Support Line provide to the participants of Sunrays of Hope and the community? We will use the PILOT PROGRAM to perform a needs assessment, and after we "baseline" the "core" service needs, we will strive to gradually add services to it.

Afterwards, if we determine this PILOT PROGRAM successful, we will expand the nights of coverage.
